Pretty model :) But weren't the fingers of Deinonychus covered in "fuzz" also? ??? As seen in Himmapaan's drawing:

Or is it one of those "personal preferenc" things again? 8)

...err, excuse me while I pick my jaw from the floor....

wow... just... WOW....

:) Thanks for the comments. Noora did an amazing job! Exactly according to my taste (again). Oh! Of course Aaron did an amazing job as well :)).

Niroot's interpretation is wonderful :D! Fuzzy fingers (almost all of the plumage) are still subject of speculation I guess.
But I am very probably not up to date with the current state of scientific knowledge and would gladly listen to better reason.

I was just about to order this on Shapeways. I still think the feet are a bit weird though, but nice to see what can be done with a nice paintjob !

^-^  Favorite Collection - The Fukui Dinosaur Museum Collection:

                                                                         Mamenchisaurus hochuanensis
                                                                           originally sculpted by Kazunari Araki

                                                                     compared to Invicta's Mamenchisaurus:

Yay, bigger than I thought seeing it next to the Invicta! :) Oh, Helge, and of course congrats for the lovely copperised Aaron Doyle Deinonychus! ^-^ I like the discreet use of brown, grey and orange very much, seems like a very reasonable choice for me. The feather details on the model itself look great, too, especially at the hind leg. Is it "WSF" or one of the "Detail" materials?

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a T-rex by Krentz? My friends all have Sideshow, I must make amends.

Whoa. All of these are great!

The Deinonychus is in WSF which is less detailed, but I'm pretty sure, better for acrylics application.

Lovely. Was her being blue a coincidence or is that a reference to something?
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

postsaurischian

Blue is my favourite Dinosaur colour and this one is a reference to the new WWD 3D Gorgosaurus :), which I guess was also designed by David.

Everything_Dinosaur

Great pictures and a wonderful replica of perhaps one of the most famous vertebrate fossil discoveries of all time.

Jetoar

[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Pretty, but if they are like the TRex set from last year, they are smaller than the Kabaya Araki pieces which are the center of my small collection ... a pity ...
