No word yet on if they plan to focus on extinct species, but the first figure revealed is a Thylacine.

Flaffy

Seems promising. Got sort or a Recur vibe from it ;D

Halichoeres

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Killekor

I am curious... seems promising.

Predasaurskillekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Intriguing! Well worth a regular check for updates. Love the Thylacine.

terrorchicken

love it! hoping for more Pleistocene megafauna!

Flaffy

Hopefully we'll see a diprotodon. Very surprised how few diprotodon figures exists.

sauroid

would be great if they make prehistoric and recently extinct aussie animals.
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

triceratops83

They're teasing a Thylacoleo on their Facebook page.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Killekor

THAT'S A NEW ITEM!!! WOW!!!

Southlands Replicas

Hi, just dropping in to introduce myself. My name is Jason and I'm the owner of www.minizoo.com.au . We wanted to start our own brand of figurines and Southlands Replicas is the result. We've started with 2 of Australia's extinct megafauna and, if there is enough interest would very much like to develop more figurines along this line. I sculpt the figurines myself ... admittedly still have a lot of learning to do. I respect that this is a collectors forum so won't butt in too much, however I'm around if there's any questions about the new brand. Please ask away. Thanks!

Thanks for stopping by. Quick question - can we expect to see a Megalania model from your line? How about any dinosaurs? Thanks

Would love to create a large range of both megafauna and earlier prehistoric animals. We are starting small with Thylacine and Thylacoleo. If there is enough interest and sales we will definitely go further! A megalania would be high on the priority list.

I hope you guys do some animals from nearby islands too, New Caledonia is particularly underrepresented.
