So when I moved recently, the rearing Apatosaurus was a casualty- most of the unfinished sculpts at the time were scrapped, clay removed from the armatures and those were then tossed- decided to do another 1/40 Apatosaurus recently, it is in the roughed in stage right now ready to start detailing, but I wanted to catch this thread up by posting these photos I took ofthe armature- more recent photos will be coming soon for this piece-

Here are a few progress photos- got most of it laid in, smoothed out ready to start detailing- I found that it didn't need the base as it stands up fine even with the raised front leg-

Pretty sweet bud ! :)

The only tiny thing I would change is smaller spines ..but I think we covered how difficult that would be before.

Lady medusa

Nice!!!! How did u mAke the ripples in the neck? Now it just needs a mate rearing up ;)

Awesome, awesome, awesome. I definitely want this one. A big shelf with your sauropods would be so cool...

Seeing that the thing looks like its close to completion, is there any chance that it would come out soon?

Nice ! I hadn't seen one of these painted up yet. Did you alter the tail on all of them or just this one ?

The tail ends up different on each one- I guess I am trying to make each of these figures, not just the apatosaurus, unique in some way- sort of makes it more artistic to me some how than just making all of them the same each time.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I get ya'. It's hard for me to do something exactly the same each time as well.

Bokisaurus

I hope mine is painted ^-^ Very nice.
