Would beginning February - end of July for entries and the bulk of August for voting work? That time frame would work well for me but it depends on what people want.

Completely fine!

Yahoo! The back up generator has been engaged, engine 2 is back online and the aircraft has stabilized, resume course!  8)

For my diorama I have to hurry a little bit – but this is still much better than to wait a year. So I will be very happy if this timing works. Dear Stargatedalek – if necessary - I can offer my help for the graphics. The header for the contest, a banner and so on as you like.

stargatedalek

Thanks for the offer but I think I've got it covered there.

DinoG

Wow forget the planning, possible scenarios and mock arrangements, everybody get to work now!!
Run!

DinoToyForum

Great, sounds like it is settled then! Thanks Stargatedalek, if you do decide to run the contest, I'll owe you one.  C:-) O:-)

DinoToyForum

Just to confirm that there IS going to be an official Dinosaur Toy Forum Diorama Contest in 2018. Details to be announced in due course. In the meantime, get diorama-ing!

Hello - we are newbies to the forum. I'm a father of 2 young boys - all dinosaur mad. We're based in S. Africa and have just enjoyed our 2nd "big dinosaur adventure" (to Clarens in the Drakensburg mountains). Our 1st dino adventure was to the "Jurassic Coast" - in and around Charmouth, Dorset, England, a few years back when we were still based in the UK. On the back of these adventures, we have constructed 2 large dioramas. So may I express our interest in taking part in the diorama competition please !

Best regards,
Paul

You'll be most welcome to submit your diorama for contention! I'll be posting details of how to participate soon. It will work the same as previous contents, so you can explore those old contest threads on the forum for info. Watch this space. :)

DinoToyForum

If all goes to plan I intend to reveal the details for the Dinosaur Toy Forum Diorama Contest 2018, including our sponsor, prizes, and all, tomorrow!

I also just remembered that it is a decade since the first contest in 2008! We had a contest every year except for 2011, so this will be the ninth contest! Wow.

Okay, I spoke slightly too soon, but announcement is imminent...

Federreptil

I look today to the forum with mixed feelings. On the one hand I'm sad because it seems to be the second year after 2011 without a diorama contest. On the other hand I wonder how I will manage a new entry this year because time is very very short. But I will miss all the other wonderful ideas and settings of all the talented members of this forum without a contest. This event bring every time a focus to this projects and many would be undone without heating up the ambitions. So is this the wrong thread and something like a contest or a show is planned this year or will only I miss this subject?

DinoToyForum

I'm waiting to hear back from a potential sponsor. I'm hoping there will be a 2019 contest, even if it occurs a little later in the year than usual.  :)

Killekor

Great! I'm happy to know that probably there will be one. I could try to enter :).

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.
