I saw this shared on a certain subreddit I follow, and I find it very interesting. It's also so nice to see paleo accurate styled animals, aside from their fantastical elements.

Its funny one of the most accurate depictions in sub-culture is simultaneously fictitious. I like the concept of dinosaurs meet traditional civilizations(or modern ones i guess). Just hope it isnt over the top dark and gritry, with something horrific like child death, cannibalism, etc. i noticed that with similar projects.
I want this to be majestic, fantastical, classical glorious.

Blayken has contacted the author of the teaser and has made a very interesting review. I'm so pleased about it all. The dinosaurs won't talk and there will be many "clans". It seems to be that before that time, modified dinos and humans got along well. Dinos don't have armors, that's queratinized scutes.
He says that they have spent a lot of money in that teaser so it looks amazing (the rest of the series is not done), and they will be pleased if a big one like HBO, Netflix ... is interested so they could invest in it.

Man I really hope someone gives it the time of day. It's such a refreshing take with dinosaurs. Otherwise I'd gladly contribute to a kickstarter to help get this off the ground.

Feels odd to call this a trailer, considering there is no larger series actually produced yet. More like a pitch! Nevertheless, it's beautiful, and I'd definitely watch it if it were produced.

While the aesthetics are kinda cool, I feel like calling the designs accurate is a stretch. The tyrannosaurs look like they're wearing samurai armor! Adding the fact that it's merely a pitch for the IP, not even a specific series/movie/game, it would be wise to temper expectations.

I think CoolioArt put it best when he said, "now THIS is how you stylize/fantasize dinosaurs, you start with the real thing first, THEN you add stylization/fantasy elements, not the other way around" ( https://twitter.com/Coolio_Art/status/1705183815977623575 ). I also like that Knight_Steve adds to that w/a side-by-side of KYŌRYŪ & 65 ( https://twitter.com/knight_Steve_/status/1705187553727627431 ). Yama's look in particular reminds me of Dürer's Rhinoceros (which is very nostalgic for me given its appearance in Zoobooks: https://rangerrick.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/ZB_Rhinos_2023_Activities-1.pdf ).

My only nit-picks are 1) the way Tori digs up the skull, which seems more like how a human digs w/their hands than how a birdy animal digs w/their feet (I know he's probably meant to be more intelligent than a real tyrannosaurid, but said movement is still a bit Uncanny Valley-ish), & 2) another tyrannosaurid protagonist. I'd love to see more small feathered dino protagonists that are similarly accurate, especially eudromaeosaurs (which, besides being my favorite dinos, would make for both better underdogs & cooler fight scenes). Can you imagine how awesome it'd be to see something like Willoughby's "Loki Raptor" leaping out of nowhere to slash their much larger prey/foes like in Delgado's Age of Reptiles? In any case, I hope the trailer leads to a full-blown series, but if Hazbin Hotel is any indication, it'll probably be years before that happens.

Haha, I saw the "trailer" when it was posted but it took me awhile to respond. Not much to say about it since it's just a pitch. Looks great though, and I hope we see more. I agree with you that a tyrannosaurid protagonist is kind of boring. Dromaeosaurs lend themselves well to being protagonists I think. They're Intelligent, social, and roughly human sized, so we can relate to them easier. They're both menacing but also vulnerable. Obviously you can make any dinosaur relatable (Primal) but it seems like less of a stretch with a dromaeosaur. Watching a T. rex battle a swarm of Dimetrodon is...odd. Stakes would feel higher with a smaller dinosaur as the protagonist.
