Probably only a few people will be into this, but I'm among them.

Mostly extant stuff, and the megalodon is a retread from a previous series, but marine reptile fans might like the Shonisaurus. Myself, I'm in it for the Pituriaspis and the Poraspis. To my knowledge, this is the first time anyone has made those two genera (they aren't even on Shapeways).

The actual products:

They're stylized, but far from the worst things that Diramix has put out.

Would definitely be interested in acquiring these jems, such a shame that they are in blind bags.
Does anyone know where I can get them?

Faelrin

Nice to see some more prehistoric fishes, and lesser known ones at that.

I like what I see. But where can I get these?

RobinGoodfellow

Diramix is an italian company.
Their figures are sold in italian stores only.
It's possible to order a figure on-line but Diramix doesn't ship internationally.
If someone could be interested in Diramix, I can help to buy.
But international shipping cost is quite high from Italy so probably the shipping process could be more expensive than figures' price...
In case, just let me know. No personal fee requested.

Shipping costs aside, how much do these figures cost individually? Or are they different sizes and as such, have different price ranges?

They are more or less 5 euro each.

(I bought a couple of Diramix for Halichoeres but, to be honest, I don't like them very much; they're really poorly made..  ??? )

Are you saying you can pick and choose which ones? There are one or two from several different sets I'm looking for.

Yeah, if you order direct, you can choose them. Unfortunately, only a few lines are active at a time, so some of the older sets on the page will not be available. Robin was kind enough to get me a couple of the Mega Abissi figures, but Antichi Abissi wasn't available, and neither were any of the dinosaur series.

I would definitely be in for the two prehistoric fish. I appreciate, Robin, that you wouldn't take a fee but if you let me know what you collect I'll see if I have anything in my collection that could help you out in return. It's kind of a sickness that I feel I need these two squishy fish, but there you go...

I didn't want to bother Robin again (though in light of his generous offer, maybe I should have!) so I ordered a case of these guys from eBay right before I started this thread. I'll probably have plenty of spares.

I would of course be interested in the two extinct fish, but also in the megamouth and basking sharks.

Silvanusaurus

Wow, thats one of the most exciting adverts I've ever watched.

Faelrin

Okay I finally got around to watching that ad. Wow. Takes me back to those crazy 90's commercials, lol. I would be interested in the Shonisaurus or Poraspis if anyone had any spares they'd feel comfortable with selling.

Well, in that case you know where to find me for the prehistoric spares. ;)

Shonisaurus

I am interested only in the extinct, especially in extinct fish, on the other hand the shonisaurus could be a good acquisition since since the commercialization of the one of Schleich there have not been practically new figures of that dinosaur in toy version.

But what is said are blind bags and to take me a prehistoric fish that fortunately is not extinct I do not buy them.

ZoPteryx

Well that's unexpected!  It's kind of shame our only source of these unusual fish is, well, squishy...

I had the same thought!  :))

Halichoeres

Ha ha, yeah, their commercials are pretty over the top. They're okay on mute if you want to get a look at what the actual figures look like. The artwork is very optimistic relative to the product.

Due to some requests by DTF members I contacted Diramix about these figures.
Pituriaspids, Poraspis, Shonisaurus etc.. are sold out and out of stock.
I'm not a Diramix expert so I don't know if the figures will be available again in the next future.
By now I can't order them (sorry, I can't help you..); Ebay is actually the only source for those figures.
I'll keep an eye open on Diramix website and if figures will be available again I'll send a note on this thread.
Unfortunately Diramix is a very small company.

And I've never seen a single one for sale on eBay.  :'(
