I also think the Beasts of the Mesozoic Accessory Packs and Nestlings could be included, although it's probably cutting very close (assuming they stay on track for late December shipping with everything). The others are estimated for January and February, so those would be a good choice for next year's poll.

I think they shouldn't be included in this poll, and instead should be in the poll for next year.  This way, people can vote for them after having had them for more than very little time.  Alternatively, this can allow people to vote for them while actually owning the figures.  If they are shipped in late December, I wonder if people outside the US will actually receive them before 2018.  Other people might be waiting for reviews or people's experiences/photos of the actual products before deciding whether they want to own the figures.  So I think including these figures in this poll would not give them a fair chance.

When figures are released so close to the end of the year, I think in a way they aren't really figures of that year, they are figures of the upcoming year in which everyone has time to enjoy them.

In any case, I think figures shouldn't go in the poll unless they're released.

Ah, I didn't really think about all that. I suppose you are right. It would be better for next year's after all.

Would anyone vote for the following?

• Dinostar (Tapejara, Psittacosaurus)
• IToy (Dilophosaurus/Sinosaurus)
• Favorite mini dioramas
• Mojo
I would definitely put in a vote for both Dinostar.

Schleich kentrosaurus wasn't a repaint.

I'm confused, then, because I bought the Schleich Kentrosaurus in June 2016 (in a brick and mortar shop in Madeira).
They have two Kentrosaurus, released one after the other but both are unique sculpts.

Takama

I was was about to suggest Itoy Dilophosaurus

Thanks for reminding me! The first one was released in 2015 and was even in the 2015 top 10. They look so similar though, one has to wonder why they bothered:

Righty, I've updated the list, check it out. Unless anyone notices any omissions, or has any other suggestions, I'll create the poll soon.  8)

There's a Dinostar(?) Smilodon:

I highly doubt it will get any votes, but feel free to include it in the poll.

I have it in my collection and I do not recommend anyone who buys that smilodon is disproportionate, with a tiny head and the material used is quite rigid.

It is not the smilodon that one would like for a collection, except for some fanatic as is my case. I arrived at my address in a few days thanks to the optimum management of monsterhousehk and that came from China and to be honest the figure was quite cheap on eBay.

I am sorry to make these somewhat harsh criticisms against a toy animal figure and above all in advance I apologize but from my point of view it is not for me a good figure, that is quite big.

DinoToyForum

I'll add the Dinostar Smilodon for good measure, what's one more figure anyway.

Was the Colorata feathered dinosaur box a 2016 or 2017 release?

It was 2016, sorry.

If they are going to be commercialized in December of this year, we would have to add the velociraptor "Gunn" and "Rose" of Rebor.

Although they have not been commercialized yet and for my part is a bit premature if they are sold in this year I would perhaps add them according to my honest opinion.

That is missing the five miniatures of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals fighting (pteranodon) Favorite and that are magnificent.

What about the marine tube from CollectA? That was one of the highlights of 2017 as far as I'm concerned. I would certainly vote for it as a unit, but I would even vote for one or three of them for the top 10 if they were listed individually.

I'll put the CollectA minis in the poll individually. I think that's fair and it's what we've done in previous polls.

I'll create the poll over the weekend :)

Poll now active. Ten votes each. Once you've voted, you can't change your mind. If you want to vote for a figure that isn't in the list, too bad! There are so many excellent figures this year it is going to be tough, and there will inevitably be some excellent figures that miss out. Happy voting!

Jose S.M.

There's so much great figures this year! my personal top 3 would be CollectA Dimorphodon, Papo Ceratosaurus and Safari Tyrannosaurus!

Shonisaurus

I know that I must comply with the voting rules of the forum but unfortunately I would have liked to choose more figures of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals favorite of 2017.

This year has been very rich in quality and quantity of figures and I think it is insufficient to choose only 10 options. All the companies of dinosaurs and prehistoric toy animals have made paleoartistic works of unquestionable quality

postsaurischian

Oh, the poll started a bit too early. The Colorata Paleozoic Creatures set is missing.
Polls like this shouldn't start before January.

Well, the way I see it, very few of us will have the Paleozoic Creatures set before January. Many of us already have the new Safaris, but those won't be counted until 2018. I personally don't mind including the Colorata set with the 2018 figures as well.

Sure, any late December releases can go into the 2018 poll. :)

DinoToyForum

Two figures seem to by striding ahead of the pack, vying for first place. But there are only 24 votes so far, that could all change.

Quite! We haven't even reached the club-house turn yet. Isn't this exciting!
