Personally, I try to check to see if someone has posted something before I do it. Just seems like bad etiquette to push another post down, on the day it was posted, when on most days there are no posts at all. But to each their own, I guess.

No, I don't believe there is a written rule about it. I think it's just one of those unspoken rules of etiquette. No one wants their hard work bumped down the same day they posted it.

I always check the blog before I post something. If there's already a new review at the top, then I'll wait an extra day or two before posting a guest review. And if it's the 15th of the month and I want to post a review of my own, I'll do it at the very end of the day so that the previous review still gets some time in the spotlight. I figure it's only fair and polite.
