Caroll Spinney, Big Bird’s Alter Ego on ‘Sesame Street,’ Is Dead at 85

I know many of you may not think it's relevant to the forum; but, Big Bird is a dinosaur. Also, I'm sure many of us grew up watching Sesame Street, and many of us probably experienced Caroll Spinney's performances as Big Bird or Oscar.

Here's one of Spinney's later performances as Big Bird in the episode where he learns he is a dinosaur:

Considering Sesame Street was a big influence on my childhood in the 80's, and Oscar was my secret favorite character - yeah, this is sad news.

That's heartbreaking for me to see. I watched this show plenty of times as a child, and Big Bird was probably my favorite character back then too.

Lots of  good memories. He lived a full life, and brought happiness to so many.
