Hey, I remember a pic posted here a while back showing a Kamuysaurus - does anyone know if that was an upcoming release or just a one-off sculpture by Kazunari Araki? I want to know if I should scratch it from my wish-list.

I don't recall Favorite Co. revealing any Kamuysaurus.

@SidB I think in terms of sculpt the Smilodon and woolly mammoth are great, the Smilodon actually looks like one and the head isn't just Panthera with a pair of bananas glued on which most other companies do, the mammoth looks like a proper proboscid with decent anatomy while most mammoths by other companies look extremely wonky.
The only downside is the paint job on each but the sculpting work is phenomenal.

Tokugawa could also definitely make a better Paraceratherium for Favorite than I-TOY's.

And Hirokazu Tokugawa has also lots of experience with desmostylians.

I honestly don't get why people complain about his woolly mammoth so much, it is the only one that doesn't look like a weird fantasy creature but like an actual animal.

I need these mammals on my shelves. I'd much prefer these to almost all of their dinosaurs, really.

How pretty paraceratherium and desmostilians are absolute perfection. Tokugawa should honestly make prehistoric mammals sincerely they are superior to their Mesozoic figures in perfection.

@Stolpergeist , I'll have to dig out my Favorite figures and look at the sculpts of the mammoth and sabre-tooth again. It's been a while since I acquired them. I know that I was pleased with their quality of production, but not so much with the coloration or the poses, for some reason. I'll do a more thorough evaluation of them in light of your comments. Perhaps I've become too wedded to the usual interpretation.

Tokugawa's most recent work for Favorite was the mini dinosaur skull series. I wish they'd use him more, I'd like to see more sets in the vein of the Cambrian series.

His Dunkleosteus is also the most accurate one on the toy market.

Araki made one that he showed on Twitter, but as far as I know it wasn't associated with Favorite.

Ah, thanks - I'll cross it off my list.

Unless Favorite starts adding something exciting or new, I’ve lost interest in this line.
I hope they do an entire new line with new species 🤨
