The only thing I'm unhappy about, with regards to the list, is the Lego Pteranodon skeleton.  I find it somewhat depressing to have an animal represented as dead.  I would prefer a living Lego Pteranodon to be used.  But I accept avatar_Loon @Loon has the final say.

I chose that one, since most Lego dinosaurs are Jurassic Park/World inspired. Also, I think it'd be a good bit of variety as we already have a live pterosaur on the list.

I'm not sure about the resin kits yet. But Shane's recent Baryonyx resin kit comes to mind for an icon of recent times. Either way I won't fuss about it past this.

I'm not overly fond of skeletal figures myself, but given how many reviews there are on the DTB, from Safari to Favorite and to Sideshow, I think including the LEGO Pteranodon was a good idea.

Thanks to avatar_Patrx @Patrx for creating all the new icons, to everyone for your many excellent suggestions, and to avatar_Loon @Loon for compiling the final list. The new icons are now live!

Happy to contribute! I think we have some interesting figures represented.

Killekor

I'm really happy of how the new icons turned out! They really needed to be updated.

Killekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Nice choices everyone; not all of them were my personal first choices, but what matters is that the icons were updated (which as Killekor says, was a needed change  :) )

Regarding the LEGO skeletal Pteranodon; I don't like skeletal figures, but I can understand why it and not the regular version was chosen for the 'Other toys and collectibles' section, as I don't know of anyone here who collects skeletal figures as part of their main prehistoric collection, whereas there are a few who would include the regular Pterandon in said collection.

Faelrin

I just wanted to say I really like the new updated icons, and of course I'm also glad to see some of my favorite figures have been represented too.

The new icons are looking nice! But I would like to ask, what is that hadrosaur on the Dinosaurs on Paleontology section?

It's the Kaiyodo Baby Parasaurolophus

Ravonium

Just a request; could someone put the final list of icons in the original post of this thread? It currently isn't in a particularly convenient place  :-\

avatar_Ravonium @Ravonium I've done that now.  I had to add my opinion on the skeleton there too.  avatar_Patrx @Patrx is the Beasts of the Mesozoic Velociraptor actually the Creative Beast Velociraptor resin kit?: http://stores.dansdinosaurs.com/velociraptor-resin-kit-by-creativebeast/

Patrx

Quite right! It was a good high-res photo on a stark background, ideal for the icon.

Sim

Okay, I've mentioned it in the first post. :)
