I know that sounds like clickbait, but some of our reviews have been classified by Google as "Shocking Content" and in breach of their Adsense policy. All it means is that adverts are restricted on those pages, but it made me curious about what was so shocking. These are the four pages that were flagged:

http://dinotoyblog.com/2009/07/10/tyrannosaurus-rex-vs-triceratops-diorama-sideshow-collectibles/
http://dinotoyblog.com/2010/08/06/allosaurus-vs-camarasaurus-sideshowdinosauria/
http://dinotoyblog.com/2012/03/16/triceratops-dead-collecta/
http://dinotoyblog.com/2016/03/12/tyrannosaurus-corpse-collecta/

All of these reviews are either corpses or fighting dinosaurs so the common theme is blood and violence. I think the blood is what really did it.

Takama

Yeah   I think that the Blood and Guts is what did it.

So how come my review of the CollectA Stegosaurus Corpse didn't make it on that list?

Dinoxels

Interesting. I can see why the CollectA corpses got flagged.
Most (if not all) Rebor figures are mid

Dunno. Google works in mysterious ways. It will probably flag it eventually.

Bokisaurus

How interesting, yeah, looks like those that got flagged has violence, death, and blood have in common!
Odd to see one of my review in the list!🙀😃

It should be mentioned that the Dinos are also naked.
Threfore they should be packed in untransparent bags and only be sold to adults.
....... and in the U.S. we need a parental guidance sticker C:-)!

Shonisaurus

It honestly seems like a bad joke. I do not understand why they have marked them as shocking content. At this rate they will restrict the production of certain prehistoric animals to Sideshow and Collecta. It doesn't seem fair to me.

can confirm, working with a review team partnered with the big G - "blood and gore", "depictions of violent death", depictions of cadavers/corpses - will be flagged. I worked with a human team though, so I'm not privy to how software/an algoritm does it.

I might be mistaken, but I remember the big IT companies sending word out that since the review teams are affected by the lockdowns, most flagging is done by software which tends to be too sensitive.

*edit
here's the generic message from Google:
QuoteDue to COVID-19, we will conduct fewer human reviews to protect the health of our extended workforce. Unfortunately, as a result we may remove content that does not violate our Community Guidelines

Crackington

Must confess that my first thought on your mention of the "big G" was "Wow, you worked with Godzilla!".

Then I realised that you meant Google :)

I've been receiving this notification for several months, since last year I think, so it probably isn't due to COVID-19. But I'm sure it must be the result of sensitive bots.

avatar_Crackington @Crackington HAHAha! 'Just realized that after reading your post. An argument can be made that I do work for Godzilla though. ;D

avatar_DinoToyForum @dinotoyforum Dr. Admin, definitely. I just meant that there are no crews present to reign in the strict bot censorship. Skynet begins.

So these get flagged, yet the topless Neanderthal woman is fine?

I thought they were big on nudity...

Cue a T-800 knocking on you door. "I need your clothes, your boots and your dinosaur toys."
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Surprised the review with the REBOR Tenontosaurus corpse didn't get flagged.

edit: although, looking at the page, no Adsense adverts seem to appear on it even after reloading it, so it looks like it's been flagged too.

Shonisaurus

Honestly, those figures are shocking content is excessive, if they were current animal figures for example a dead zebra, or a lion to give two examples, I would understand it for the protection of animal rights, but in the case of dinosaurs we will never know how they were actually something bordering on demagogic puritanism.

Honestly they should put as shocking content many doll figures that appear in eBay sales with naked bodies that are honestly totally pornography figures and that should not be for sale on eBay to give an example or be displayed especially the smallest children by part of the Internet.

What they have done with those dinosaur figures is excessive and has certain overtones of self-righteousness.
