My artists edition Haolonggood Stegosaurus ungulatus just arrived in the mail. I had been holding off buying this figure for a while as none of the original three color schemes really satisfied me. They were either too bland, or too garish. (I know there are a lot of fruit lovers in the forum) haha. I saw this beauty on Amazon and snagged it as a Christmas present to myself as it looks like the Argentinosaurus won't be on Amazon anytime soon. I really love the coloration, and the slightly glossy look gives it an Eofauna paint job vibe. It is definitely a bit too large for true 1/35 scale, by my measurement, 25.5cm long equating to a roughly 8.9 meter animal, about 15% larger than the biggest specimens we have found. Nothing too crazy, but it stands nearly as tall as a T. rex at the hips, haha.

Don't see many in hand photos of those artist editions. Thanks for sharing!

Congratulations on bagging one, avatar_Ajax88 @Ajax88!  Not an easy feat.

Now Eofauna better not release a beauty of the same species for 1/2 the price next year. lol

Yesterday's excursion after the hospital visit yielded some very interesting items.

I had never seen those Jurassic World changers. They turn into eggs, and were $2.99 a piece. I would like to review them, but don't know whether they'll go here or into the MTB. avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin these weren't all that popular in my area, but I did spot the T,rex that turns into an Explorer, which was panned as an absolute failure of a toy. Which others exist?

Oh and the winter Obi Wan is gonna go great with BOTM's ice dragon next year.

I am planning to do a sort of Winter Park using SW playsets and the like...

Stay tuned.

Speaking of Star Wars, and the BotM Arctic Dragon, I wonder how it look alongside a Tauntuan? Assuming you had one.

As far as those little changer things I think have all of the released ones up on the DinoToyCollector site. Some are on amazon, but a good number seem to be released outside the US, assuming they released yet (like the Allosaurus and Parasaurolophus ones for example).

Saw Parasaurolophus and Allosaurus in an Aldi store in Germany a few weeks ago. So yeah, they are out.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I do not own a Tauntaun. I have this strange "no aliens" policy. Only Transformers are exempt, as is Superman. My Star Wars people live on my Earth, and all are humans. Sabine's cat is a genetic monster, like Bubastus from Watchmen. Tauntauns are not impossible to find, though. I might get one just for a comparison picture.
The transforming dino eggs are pretty bad. They were beaten in the 80's by those egg transforming dino skeletons whose names I always forget, and by the Rock Lords. For $3.00 they are great, though.

Six years, even! That means it's lasted as long as the original Recent Acquisitions thread (2012 - 2018). In about the same amount of time, it's accumulated 58% as many replies, which is interesting. I don't think there are more personal collection threads than there used to be, just fewer comments.

Which is a bit sad really avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres.  Though I'm certainly guilty of reading but not often commenting.  However - I wonder on (slight) reflection if the brand threads are perhaps more active and garner more comments than they used to?  There seems to be a lot of commenting traffic on e.g. Haolonggood new for 2024/PNSO new for 2024 etc.

Which might be due to the deceptive convenience of the "Like" -Button. You simply donĀ“t have to write "interesting!" or "gorgeous!" anymore.
