I am not sure if many of you know him, but he was an amazing composer and pianist. I have been listening to his compositions since I heard the Last emperor soundtrack, and a few weeks later he is gone. Rest in piece Mr.Sakamoto, you will be missed

His album "Playing the piano" has been for years my number one resource when i needed to ease my mind. A titan of a composer and performer.

I got into his music via Yellow Magic Orchestra.  He'll be missed.

My favourite track of his, released 40 years ago! Still sounds futuristic today.

I saw Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence when it was first released, so too The Last Emperor. A talented man.
