Hello, my name is Pawel (Paul) and this is my dinosaur collection.

I have been fascinated by dinosaurs since I was a child. First Jurassic Park, Walking with dinosaur series and animated movie The Land Before Time were an important part of my past. I started collecting seriously dinosaur figurines shortly after I got my first job in late 2019. Then I had a question about which company to buy figurines from. I didn't like Schleich figurines. The Safari Ltd figurines had nice sculpting, but their painting was too colorful and unrealistic for me (for example their Albertosaurus). The Papo figurines had too expressive poses for my liking. The PNSO figurines were too expensive for me. I don't think the Haolonggood figurines were on the market yet. So I decided to start buying Collecta figurines. Especially since I already had a few Collecta figurines that my father bought for me at the local Rossmann store when I was a student.
I like their figures because their dinosaurs seem to be not heavy and massive, but agile (for example their Mapusaurus Deluxe) - scientific accuracy is not the most important thing to me. They have figurines of many different rare species. I like their basics. Thanks to them, their feet are not overgrown and the figures are stable. The underside of the base is a better place (less visible) for a name and CE mark than the dinosaur belly too. Unfortunately, sometimes their painting is imprecise and the paint can rub off. Then I turn the figure to cover the defect.

On the lower shelf I placed popular size figurines chronologically. From the left side triassic animals (Shastasaurus, Plateosaurus), then Early Jurassic marine reptiles, then Late Jurassic dinosaurs and Liopleurodon, and then Early Cretaceous dinosaurs to Lythronax.
On the higher shelf I placed 80 - 65 millions BC popular size dinosaurs and other prehistoric reptiles.

I keep non Steam computer games on the back of the figurines. By the way, my favorite games are Call of duty World at war and Codename Panzers Phase Two.
My favourite figurine is Ruyangosaurus. Number 2 - Caiuajara, number 3 - Koolasuchus, number 4 - Fukuisaurus.

I also wanted to show my fossil collection.
These are my fossils from the Late Jurassic of Poland. Ammonite, belemnites, snail shell, unidentified shark tooth, clams.

These are my fossils from the Middle Triassic of Poland. Nothosaurus tooth, clams, brachiopod, Nothosaurus spine bone.

That's a nice collection you got there. I wish mine was as tidy as yours is!

Your collection's arrangement and organization is really easy on the eyes. A very attractive set-up, I must say. The relative consistency texture-wise of the CollectA figures certainly helps in this respect. Welcome to the DTF.

Very nice collection! CollectA is one of my favorite companies, because they offer so much variety.

And welcome to the forum!

Nice collection! In times when PNSO and HLG are dominating the market it's easy to overlook that Safari and CollectA dilivered fantastic offerings with a very diverse range of prehistoric animals. This were great times. Fine collection of great pterosaurs. The Dimorphodon is one of my all-time favourites.

Frankly this feels kind of a golden age for collecting figures compared to back in 2008 when I had started.

Besides the Big Four (CollectA, Papo, Safari and Schleich), new great companies joined in (Creative Beasts, PNSO, Haolonggood) and existing ones vastly improved (Mojo, CollectA, Papo).

Your feeling in this matter of the present time as being a Golden Age of collecting is well grounded in fact, avatar_The Templar of the Past @The Templar of the Past. It is exactly that!

Thank you for your kind comments.
I hope that Collecta will release more 1:20 scale Triassic animals next year (for example, Eryosuchus, Kannemeyeria, Postosuchus, Erythrosuchus).
Many people write that they would like to see a large Anurognathus next year. I agree with that.
Also many of their popular size dinosaurs need new figures (for example Dracorex, Tylosaurus, Stegosaurus, Alioramus, Corythosaurus).

Not that unlikely, considering some users here have noticed plenty of trends in how CollectA releases figures, among which is releasing at least one Triassic animal.

Hello and welcome to the forum and many greetings from Germany to beautiful Poland! I was there twice and always had a great time. I even visited a prehistoric park where you could walk on a path and see prehistoric creatures. On a transparent floor you could even walk over a fossil field.
Impressive collection!

One of few companies to visit the Triassic on a regular basis!

Wonder if they'll give us a bipedal Postosuchus, I heard that is the new consensus regarding the species locomotion.

If I were laying bets on which company will, I would give CollectA the best odds.
