The Land Before Time

Alright so before they were was the Jurassic franchise there was this dinosaur movie that was animated and made by the same studios that the other dinosaur movie franchise they have made and it is about 5 young dinosaurs who are on a journey to look for a lush paradise known as the Great Valley after an earthquake destroyed their original homes and has sadly lost their families too and it also has one of the saddest scenes ever to be made in any animated movie which that includes in any other movie and my sister in law told me that this right here is a somehow sad movie because everything that is made for it as said and answered from my sister in law of mine, also it has about 13 sequels and a tv show which i am planning to post topics off of them soon.

So the main character of this movie is a young Apatosaurus named Littlefoot with him as a baby and as a child


A young Triceratops named Cera

A young Saurolophus named Ducky

A young Pteranodon named Petrie

A young Stegosaurus named Spike who is Ducky's adoptive brother.

And the villain or the main antagonist of the movie who is also resposible for the death of Littlefoot's mom which is a bloodthirsty T-Rex or Tyrannosaurus named Sharptooth.

I love that film! But I haven't been able to watch the other films, I tried with the second, but I couldn't stand it when they started singing.

Man I need to rewatch this series, it was a whole childhood obsession of mine.

I loved that movie as well as a child, and it's probably still great.
It's a bit harder for me to watch it now because I don't like the manichean depiction of carnivorous animals and theropods in movies or video games, as if they were evil creatures just mean to be evil and that really deserve to die in fire.
Even in children movies, I think they deserve better.

I remember Cera really used to annoy me, I felt she was such a bully, as a kid I almost wished she would be eaten

certainly, the first is a masterpiece.  the sequels seemed to get goofier as they went along.  I do have them all on dvd but haven't watched them all yet.
