By the way, on the topic of inactive websites linked on the DTB, what happened to Dinosaur Collector Site A?

It's still up and running by the look of it: http://www.dinosaurcollectorsitea.com

This site used to be my go-to choice when I was bored or looking for inspiration. Did not know the runner had passed away.  :'(

To be clear, the runner of dinosaur collector sure is still alive, and recently retired from work. Still writes for Prehistoric Times too.

The runner of dinosaur icon passed.

I believe that he comes on the Forum too occasionally as member "DC".

The site was an inspiration for me too. When I started specializing in arthropods in 2008 or so, this site inspired my short-lived Insecta Synethetica site devoted to...toy bugs LOL

I still go back periodically and stroll through the pages. He makes more updated that aren't formally announced.

How confusing. I had thought the runner of dinosaurcollectorsitea was dead. Sorry.

Understandable. The conversation kind of left it tricky to be certain!

I didn't even realize it was still getting updates. Might have to pay a visit. I used it heavily as a reference when I first started collecting.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Yes, so did I. It was both helpful and entertaining and one felt there is somebody who takes all this very seriously. He had even added the Bullyland Korbach Procynosuchus and the Wolfhagen Protochirotherium! And even today I do not feel it´s an outdated site. I just drop in less often.

Completely agree, it's one of my favourite websites and I love how he's made dioramas for the geological eras. You can get lost in there for hours.

I also didn't have an inkling that the site still was being updated. Waaay back when I first became fascinated with dinosaur figures and dioramas, this site provided me with much inspiration. Glad to hear that it's still a going concern.
