Parental Care in archosaurs

It's commonly stated that parental care in birds and crocodiles is a plesiomorphy for archosaurs as whole. Indeed, some theropods preserve parental care. But in others, such as pterosaurs and enantiornithean birds, we know that the juveniles were supreprecocial and could fly from day 1.

Breeding behaviours tend to be very diverse within a single group, so it seems archosaurs experimented with various techniques. So it's hard to say if it is an ancestral trace.
