A Second Childhood

I have always loved dinosaurs.
When other children wanted to be Doctors or Firefighters I wanted to be a paleontologist,
however there was a distinct lack of jobs for 4 year old self-professed dinosaur excavators so I had to be satisfied with drawing dinosaurs rather than digging for them.

Fast forward 13 years and I launched my career...as a graphic artist (at least I put those formative dinosaur drawing years to good use)
Ten years on and the only hint of my saurian past in the Rex I painted (well digitally sculpted and painted) that I'm using as an avatar.

Then my sister had a kid and my mother gave her my old dinosaur collection, it was all I could do to stop myself snatching them and running away giggling.
So a compromise was found, the child gets all my dinosaurs (except for a certain much loved and abused brown invictus T. Rex) and I get to start my collection from scratch.
Not the best of deals but when it comes to voicing a visceral need for plastic dinosaurs a child is louder...but only just.

Anyway,
Hi everybody, my name is Z-Ray and I've been Dino free for some years now but I'm taking it one step at a time.
My Favorite Dinosaur Over The Years.

Welcome to the site. Glad to see you've come to your senses and realized what you already knew as a child...that dinosaurs are awesome.

[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.
