Anything is possible...perhaps the areas that preserved were not the feathered portions for instance. There are dozens of possiblities , but the known integuments for the animal so far are skin impressions and what were suggested as scales.Given the animals closest relatives that were feathered, most people feel the dinosaur would have been as well...but the actual evidence so far at least does not support the theory. Perhaps in time a feathered set of remains will be found and it is entirely possible.
