Two months ago I received a 3D-printed Simolestes figure from my (sort of) brother-in-law. Upon posting this in the Acquisitions Thread, several people responded favorably, and mentioned they would like to see the model made public on Shapeways.com. They can now rejoice, as this has indeed occurred at last:

Of course this figure doesn't come with the pictured Invicta stand.

Guess my figure won't be unique anymore soon.  ;)

It has no face :o

The designer, this being his first animal design, wasn't convinced facial features would come through effectively enough without the head sculpt being disproportioned. So he opted for a smooth overall shape first and foremost. I reckon people who want to paint this figure can apply the necessary features themselves as they see fit.

Nor does the Invicta Plesiosaurus, it must be a plesiosaurian thing ;)
