So a question has been raised.

When I got my pair of Carnegie Dilophosaurus back in '98 they came tagless, instead they were strapped to a piece of cardboard, much like Maiasaura and nest whom I also do not remember being tagged.

Do they come with tags or were the cardboard stands their "tags" essentially?

Mine are also on cardboard. I think that since they are meant to be a pair that's how most were sold.

I think I have about eighteen pairs of that figure and all are sans cardboard and not a tag to be found in the group....go figure.

I don't remember ever seeing any with tags. Same with Maiasaura and nest.

I had a box of them, several pairs, with tan-colored tags.

When the Dilophosaurus pair first came out in 1994,they were carried by PetSmart stores along with the rest of what Safari Ltd had come out with at that point (Carnegie Collection,Vanishing Wild,Monterey Bay Aquarium ect). The first ones on the shelves there were separate and had tags like the rest, but were still supposed to be sold as a set that went together rather than individualy. So the next shipment of them about a few months later had them both strapped onto cardboard.
