Currently perusing the forum while crossing from N.Ireland to Scotland on the ferry! I might buy a dinosaur souvenir when I am there.

Welcome to my place! Sadly there isn't much in the way of dinosaurs over here, but a great place to go is the Isle of Skye. Not much merch though, and the TINY dinosaur museum is only open sporadically (it was closed when I visited, but I believe it's very good). Otherwise the Royal Museum and Nation Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh is the best place to go if you;re passing that way. It has plenty of dinosaur casts in its biology gallery, including a Tyrannosaurus skeleton, and when I last went it had plenty of high-end models and other dinosaur related stuff in the shop. It also has some Skye fossils in its gallery showcasing Scotland's very early history, including dinosaur bones. There is also a fossil shop near the Grassmarket which sells Kem Kem and Hell Creek dinosaur material. There are also museums in Glasgow, but I've never been to them and so an't say how good they are for dinosaurs.

Anyway, even if you can't make it to any of those places, I hope you enjoy your visit. :)

Thanks for the information very detailed. I was only as far as Ayr on a day trip with my mother as a treat for her. I did buy a Schleich mini stegosaurs as a souvenir!

There is a 'dino park' at Hetland garden centre outside Dumfries, I was there last year with my children, it is aimed at families but I found it enjoyable enough in a fun way. It's on trip advisor. Had a nice day out yesterday thanks. Hopefully a longer trip later in the year.

Glad you enjoyed! Might pop over there if ever I'm passing that way, if only to take pictures of my little dinosaurs with the big ones...  :))
