Komodo

The competition between Megalodon and Livyatan, as well as other sharks species, is hypothetical at this point (Pimiento 2016). It is suggested both has a profund impact on the mysticete evolution (Lambert 2010).

Regarding megalodon's position as a very predatory organism, a study about calcium isotopes of extinct and extant elasmobranchs revealed that C. megalodon fed at a higher trophic level than the contemporaneous great white shark (Martin 2015).
