Now wild safari has an excuse for why half of their models are brown with white undersides.

Note that this was already the coloration determined for Sinosauropteryx too. But this is probably a young juvenile or hatchling, so it could have developed a bolder color scheme as it aged. Babies are usually camouflaged and don't develop signaling colors until they're older.
