I used to lurk a bit a few years ago when it was the old forum. Back then I had just discovered that there were well sculpted dinosaur toys (as well as well sculpted modern animals) and started buying some. And that year I bought a bunch of of Papo and Safari dinosaurs for my nephew for Christmas and used The Dinosaur Toy Forum as a reference, so thank you for providing all the great info here from everyone.

Me, I mostly collect the Papo ones. I know there are some members who don't like their scientific inaccuracies, but I'm not at all knowledgeable about prehistoric anatomy so I just enjoy their sculpt and paint. If there were dinosaur toys even half as good as the top of the line ones now when I was a kid I think I would have spent all my kid savings buying them. My main toy collection currently is superhero action figures, and the quality of those these days are also so much better than when I was a kid. It's really amazing how well sculpted some toys are in general these days. With how toy lines often dying after a few years, I guess I could say I'm lucky that these wonderful lines we have now exist when I'm an adult and can purchase them before they disappear into people's closets and the manufacturers discontinue them. Can you imagine if you were a kid and not being able to get some of these dinosaurs?

;D  Ha, ha, I've often thought about this and I'm pretty thankful for the generation I'm born into ( ??? correct English?).

Welcome on board - your customized figures are wonderful :)!
