Not exactly something that people here may be interested in, BUT its the last day for this kickstarter (ends saturday 7 pm eastern).

Its miniatures reaper is making in their bones material (a type of PVC plastic) - you can read about it on their forums, etc...its very good for larger models but i dont like it for smaller stuff (not as sharp detail).

Anyways, this week they unveiled a new optional set:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1513061270/reaper-miniatures-bones-4-mr-bones-epic-adventure/description

if you go there, and scroll down there is LOST VALLEY for $50. it has some dinos in it (raptors, ankylosaurus, carnotaurus).  Then, as optional rewards there is the Thunderfoot behemoth (triceratops) and Blacktooth terror (Trex).

If you aren't familiar with reaper kickstarters. You can do a base pledge of $100 and get their core set (over 100 miniatures so its less than $1/ model) and then add extra cash for optional stuff (such as the $50 Lost Valley set) or the $8 for the thunderfoot or $12 for Blacktooth, OR you can pledge just $1, and just buy those sets and extra 2 dinos. Of course you could buy other stuff. they got some cool other large models and more to show in the last 24 hours.

If you are interested in these dinos, its ideal to pledge whatever you can afford now, since the higher totals, unlocks more stuff overall and they still have said there are larger stuff they have not shown yet.

If you do want these dinos but can't afford, you can pledge $1 and you have until next June/july when they lock the choices in the pledge manager to add what you want (although prices could go up by 20% by then or something -- still low price)

Anyways just thought since they are kinda dinosaurs (fantasy based) some folks here may be interested. Sadly, its the last day so if you are...pledge now to raise the total for everyone :)

Regards

Sanjay

Wait, so their goal is $30k and they've already raised over $2.5 million?

yeah...but they know, from bones 1 years ago that they woudl raise a lot more. at 30K, they would be doing a loss on the core set.  but they way they do it is that the gaps between each bonus adds teh funds to build up the options + the core.

right now, i think the core is so low its like 0.67 cents/model or something like that.

BUt it ends saturday 7 pm Eastern...
