The albanerpetontids are a group of amphibians that arose in the Mesozoic alongside frogs, salamanders, and caecilians, and then went extinct within the last 5 million years or so. This paper describes a new albanerpetontid called Shirerpeton isajii in great detail, with great photos, scans, and interpretive drawings.
