First, a little background.

A few weeks ago, some very dear friends of mine had their first baby. It's been an exciting time but I've been left trying to work out what to get them ever since. Now obviously, I want to get this kid started on the whole paleontology kick as soon as possible, but I didn't much care for any of the baby items I was seeing online and in stores. So I decided to fire up Photoshop and see what I could come up with using the little graphic design skills that I possess.

Came up with a bib, a jersey, and a blanket. Figured that would make for a good trifecta of infant needs. Whether or not the parents take to these remains to be seen but seeing as they know me pretty well, I'm sure they expect nothing less!

Of course, that's only the start of it.

I ended up enjoying the exercise so much that I just couldn't stop. Ideas for (what I thought to be) clever prehistoric apparel designs just kept falling out of me, so I wound up spending almost all of my free time this past week churning these out. I figured if anyone could appreciate them (especially some of the more esoteric ones), it would be my fellow paleontology enthusiasts!

I know, I know, a lot of repeat ideas/themes but a lot of that comes from my indecisiveness on which version I liked better  :P

I think I've more or less got it out of my system by now but I am certainly open to more ideas just for fun! Not sure if anything will really come of any of these. I'm basically full up on clothing, stickers, anything of that sort at the moment so I can't say I plan to make any of them a reality at this point. All the same, I thought I'd share them here before they get forgotten.

Forgive the low quality images but screenshots were the only way I could figure out to share the final product.

Very well done, these are terrific.  There's probably a good sloth joke to be made with a Megatherium, or maybe being a total cave bear before morning coffee (or apple juice).   :))

Uh oh, think I need to do one about how un-bear-able extinction can be!

I also thought there was a "live slow, go extinct whenever" angle somewhere for the ground sloth.

I guess I'm not done after all! :))

I find a lot of these amusing, but the "God's Perfect Creation" with the horseshoe crab got me rolling. I think these are actually nice shirt designs. I'd definitely wear some of these.

These are all really cool. My favourite is Save the Whales. A bit too late for that particular whale though.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Nevermind, I guess this is just my life now.

I first read the thread title and initially expected replica Pleistocene loin-cloths and other ice age attire, lol.

A shirt idea: a pterosaur skeleton with its wings fully extended with text "Welcome to the Gun Show"
