From the Winton formation (the basis of the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum), here's a new pterosaur. It's pretty scrappy, but it nevertheless manages to be Australia's most complete fossil pterosaur. Meet Ferrodraco lentoni ("Lenton's iron dragon"), an ornithocheirid contemporary of animals like Kunbarrasaurus and Australovenator. Maybe if the AAOD line ever gets going again, it could eventually include a figure of this animal.

Here's the holotype, superimposed on a skeletal modified from one by Mark Witton:

"I am Iron Dragon!"...anyone else imagining that one in a conflict with Thanos simonattoi?
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

ZoPteryx

Great find and even better name!  I'm imagining it in flying around with Iron Man colors.  ;D
