I am beginning a series of A-Z prehistoric animal dossiers, similar to the Ark Survival Evolved video game dossiers. Each dossier will include several simple sketches of the dinosaur, a simple description of the dinosaur, as well as other additional items that will vary dossier to dossier. I am using http://www.prehistoric-wildlife.com/ for my A-Z list, but I believe this site is somewhat outdated. If you know of a more recent and up-to-date list that would be very helpful. I am also debating whether the descriptions should be 100% accurate in geologic and time contect, or if they should be set in something similar to Dinotopia, in a context with humans or tribes living alongside. Let me know what you guys want to see!

Avian

I have done a rough sketch to test the idea, using Aardonyx as the species. The information regarding Aardonyx individually is scientifically accurate, while the setting is intended to be a Dinotopian society. I apologize for the bad lighting.

Text from top left to bottom right:

Early peoples hunted Aardonyx with spears, as it was largely defenseless to medium-range attacks.

Aardonyx

Skulls were often worn as trophies.

Hailing from the scrublands on the eastern border of the Great Desert, Aardonyx is a slow moving prosauropod often hunted by the primitive and nomadic tribes inhabiting its range. They travel in family groups and slowly roam the terrain, searching for low lying vegetation. Although these creatures are fairly common in their indigenous regions, they are rarely spotted in populated areas, preferring the more empty and vast desert.

Ancient tablets depict the hunting of a small prosauropod, thought to be Aardonyx deemed by markings.
