TRIVIA---in the Dean Devlin/Roland Emmerich remake of GODZILLA, the buffoonish New York Mayor Ebert and his aid, Gene, are parodies of film critics Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel. Ebert and Siskel had given mediocre reviews to two earlier Devlin and Emmerich movies, STARGATE and INDEPENDENCE DAY.
