Hi, it's been a while since I last talked on the forum, and I would like help with the following:

normally i collect Resin or PVC figures in 1/30 or 35 scale for creatures, but for action figures I don't know which choose, i'm between 1/18 because it's the one that looks best despite being out of place or 1/12 which I doubt will look good buy has the most variety for collecting. I could also opt for the 1/35 scale but they are mostly 3D prints, not articulated figures.

I'll read us.

So 1/18 is your best bet if you want humans and dinosaurs/other prehistoric animals in scale with each other. Both the Creative Beast Studio lines (Beasts of the Mesozoic/Cenozoic and the upcoming Cyberzoic), and Mattel's Jurassic World have a good number of creatures to flesh out a collection with, along with humans. Of course there's humans in other lines at that scale as well.

1/30 and 1/35 scale figures will certainly be too small to be in scale with 1/18 figures, but some of the larger figures might still tower over some of the human figures at that scale (such as sauropods, and the larger theropods).

There's loads of action figures in 1/12 scale these days, probably even more then 1/18 scale, but they certainly would be way out of scale with 1/30 and 1/35 scale figures. That said there a few options out there like the upcoming Cyberzoic (and BotC) Smilodon, the Mattel Jurassic World Amber Collection (more or less). There might be more Cyberzoic figures in that scale eventually. I think Deinonychus was planned at least, but could be a while before we see it released.

The only bad thing is that there are figures like the Once And Future King from Nanmu don't scale very well compared to 1/18 humans, as an alternative I could alternate between species. For example: for small or smaller dinosaurs I usually use the 1/18 scale which I know is not ideal, but since it preserves the best detail I can use the Hammond Collection humans and for larger creatures I could use the 1/35 humans.

I think it's a very uneven idea, I know.

So you're looking for action figures of humans to go with your existing dinosaurs, rather than action figures of dinosaurs?

I know this doesn't quite answer your question but heroclix work for 1:45 scale, with some of the bigger heroes working at 1:40 (depending how comfortable you are modifying them).
The Mcfarlane World of Pandora mini line has some human figures at approx 1:40 scale.

For a strict 1:35 scale, there's a good amount of Artpla and Japanese miniatures (Gacha) like 'Hokkaido Sango Ranch' out there. You can use proxy sites like Buyee and FromJapan to find them, or some Japanese resellers. There's also a tonne of military kits in 1:35, and I think some may go up to 1:32.

For 1:30, the only thing I could find is Hasbro's 2.5inch line, which I believe has stuff like Avengers, GI Joe and possibly some Star Wars/other Disney franchises. But I don't know much about those. They're closer to 1/25 though I think, but it'd be a better fit than 1/18.

Of the ones I've been most convinced by so far are "McFarlane Toys" and "Artpla", Mcfarlane for its "Avatar World Of Pandora" line since figures like its "Banshee" or "Leonopteryx" would look good with my 1/ 35 Nanmu figures, what I'm not convinced by is having Na'vis with little or no articulation, although I think there are some figures that Mattel release that I think are to small compared to the Mcfarlane Na'vis in its regular line.

I like the detail that the "ArtPla" figures have, considering their size, although I don't usually collect animals on such a small scale, but I understand that it is to adapt to the size of their human or anime figures.

As I mentioned, the idea is to find a line of articulated figures of humans or characters at a scale that fits well with 1/30 or 40 size dinosaurs.

Yeah, i know that there are good quality dinosaur action figures out there, but my preference has always been to collect figures of creatures without articulation, I think it's because they retain more realism lol.

Yeah, that's tough. 1:30 or 1:35 is pretty rare for people figures. 1:18 is the least-worst, I guess. 1 gauge model trains are about that scale, and there are surely human figures to go with them, but 1) it's not a terribly popular gauge and 2) the figures are unlikely to be articulated.
