A well preserved Torosaurus skull.  Aside from the skull length of 9.8 feet, Adam is notable for dating to 70 million years ago, which is 2 million years earlier than Torosaurus was thought to have lived.

This further flies in the face of the theory that specimens of Torosaurus were simply old Triceratops adults.  Seems more likely Torosaurus and Triceratops were two diff't genera that were closely related.   I wonder if they had radically different diets to avoid competing with one another or if they were more like Roan and Sable antelopes.....very similar to one another in appearance and overlap the same range of habitat.

Thats interesting, its well known museum of rockies has a 9ft torosaurus skull and the peabody museum has 2 skulls well over 8ft but both are sub adults...
The largest known triceratops skull is in the byu collections on display and is huge at well over 9ft...
