Not a big fan of this look tho. I know it was related to Entelodonts, but a longer body with a tail would be better. Something like reconstructions by Roman Uchytel for example, where he also adapted the Entelodont relation to it. Also wasnt Andrewsarchus like more basal in morphology compared to other Entelodonts? Like it would more like Pakicetus body length wise or is that outdated?

IMO reptiles work well as articulated models as they give the impression of being rigid and angular, while mammals tend to have a more fluid flexible feel to their anatomy. Especially in dynamic poses where interactions between the underlying skeletal/muscular anatomy and overlying integument are prominent; something that is unfortunately lost on articulated models.

Smilodon definitely works as an articulated model, for some really neat posing. I cant wait to get my hands on the 1/18 scale Smilodon.

While we don't have enough (or any) post cranial remains to say for certain, recent phylogenetic analysis places Andrewsarchus very close to the Entelodonts. I personally would've preferred a more basal reconstruction too for the body, the limb morphology in particular strikes me as quite derived.
