Exactly, it has literally darker tone. Even soundtrack too. Also it's more adventure movie instead of sci-fi like first movie.

I think I might have more nostalgia for the Lost World marketing than for the movie itself. It really was everywhere, and I was so hyped for it. I should add that none of the film's shortcomings bothered me when I was 13, I loved the movie back then. I still enjoy it, honestly, but I like a lot of bad movies. I think all the Jurassic films have some cool scenes, if nothing else.

I always associate it with the visuals from the T. rex and Spinosaurus fight,
huge, huge trees with falling leaves and nothing but thick white fog behind them. The Aviary scene starts off the same way too, thick white fog.
I always love it, it's dreamlike and it gives the impression of being in a maze, or like you're disconnected from the outside world and in some ancient slice of time.
