I didn't realize the dinosaur diorama contest was early this year so I went through the trouble of making a diorama then realized it was to late afterwards. :( Not wanting to waste the effort I decided to post it here.

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD

To be honest I would have voted for it.  It's really good,  and I love the Iguanodon, this figure is the only one of the 2016 figures I currently own  and one of my favorites, you shot it in a nice way.

suspsy

You should have saved it for next year's contest.

That is amazing, absolutely beautiful.

Uncle Rex

Very nice photo - thanks for posting it.

Libraraptor

I would have voted for it! Nice ankle, nice and credible colours, some lensflares, beautiful!

Nice work! I look forward to what you come up with for next year.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Arul

Woww looks very natural and realistic :)

Lanthanotus

A really nice shot, especially for the light on the moss and the choice of the figure. Personally I would have removed the pine needles from the foreground to prevent any impression of false scaling, but that's just me.

I think those are lycopods, but I could be wrong.

Hmm, possible, thought it's some Polytrichum species, but I'm no expert on this.

On further inspection, I think you're right!

Silvanusaurus

Seeing safari's iguanodon set so elegantly here has convinced me to get one for myself. It looks very naturalistic in this shot.
