can this figure pass for a large prehistoric amphibian? if so, what would it be? it is a no-brand made in china generic salamander. i am thinking of using it in a pre-dinosaur diorama. any input would be helpful/appreciated. thanks.

Megalosaurus

I don't know much about ancient amphibians.

But if you shorten the limbs it may be Micromelerpeton.
