http://www.jurassicquest.com/ticketsWaco.html So Jurassic Quest is coming to Waco Texas. Has anyone gone to this? Is it nice? Is anyone else going? I've never been to something like this and seeing as how my love for dinosaurs has been rekindled I'm really excited. They're aren't any dinosaur museums or dinosaur themed anything very close to my hometown.

I almost always find animatronic dinosaur exhibits to be very underwhelming. They oftentimes look so ugly! Judging by the pictures on their site I'm afraid this one may not be the exception...

I believe this is a traveling exhibit similar to the dinosaurs unearthed exhibit that visited here one weekend. Cost was 25.00 a person, the dinos were not scientifically accurate as advertised, the museum quality sculptures were  the offspring of gumby and B-films. All the rides, inflatables and such advertised were all extra after you piad to get in. Over priced food and giftshop too.. just disappointing. I think me and my friends had more fun pointing out how inaccurate they were...but still not worth 25.00 a head. :/

Yup it's a traveling thing and it has a lot of what you mentioned. I haven't heard of Dinosaurs Unearthed nor had I heard of this one. My husband already bought tickets to Jurassic Quest and hopefully things won't be too expensive.. Tickets were $20.00 per adult. I wanted to go since this will be the closest dinosaur themed anything I'll be able to see until sometime next year, and if it turns out to be a flop well heck then at least he and I can giggle at the really big "Chinasaurs".

Ah, well the only animatronic dinosaur I've seen in person was a Tyrannosaurus bust at a Ripley's Believe It or Not, and while he was ugly I still get a kick out of seeing him when I go to San Antonio.  :)

So I've returned from Jurassic Quest (and a trip to the local zoo to see the baby Komodo Dragons), and if it's possible I'll do a review on it either here or somewhere where the reviews go. Though I will say it was not really worth the $20 a person. Though there were some Paleontologists there from Wyoming. I even got their business card and a possible internship! I also got to chat with the main creator of JQ, he was very nice and even offered me a job should I learn to build a dino-suit. :D
Anyhow I will perhaps post pictures if you all would like. ^_^

Sure feel free. We had some fun at the exhibit we went to with all the quirky-saurs they had...lol

I do like the Ripley's Rex myself..I think it's made by Salley Corp. Dark Rides, I saw one on a trip they painted purple and stuck dragon horns on though..ugh.
