I found this forum (well, actually the older version) just couple of weeks ago and have been very excited to see so many dinosaur lovers packed together.

Next some info about myself. I live in Finland and have been into dinosaurs as long as I can remember. In fact, my earliest memories include dinosaurs in a form of the very first dinosaur toy that I obtained as a Christmas present. I have been collecting dinosaur toys more or less actively my entire life, though most of my childhood collection consisted of cheaply made Chinasaurs. I think I have seen the entire Dino-riders series, it was my childhood favourite. Oh, and I still love The Land Before Time which came out about the same time. Jurassic Park was more real than anything before and made these creatures really come to life. Walking With Dinosaurs also made a real impact on me. Now I am watching Terra Nova (mainly because of the dinos).

What about real-life dinosaurs? I have seen couple of fossils (Giganotosaurus carolinii, Tyrannosaurus Rex, etc., mostly replicas) and man they are awesome! And huge! But they will not come to life, sigh.

Welcome to the new website of the Dinosaur Toy Forum!  And I hope you will show us your interests your collections and some of your major interests :)

A friend of mine used to go to Finland in the past a lot since he had a loved one living there, he kept on saying Suomi On Upea!, ever had a clue what that meant though, would be something like Finland is the best?  or Finland The Land of Dreams! ?

Anyhoo, Great to have you aboard mate!
