I have noticed that theres a new feture that shows whos all online, and when you click to see the full list "It tells who is were, on the forum "   Now i feel like im being watched

OK, so I've decided on a set up now. 

The main portal is on a standalone page at http://www.dinotoyblog.com/forum/PortalStandalone.php
I've added a link to it under the home button in the top menu.

As for the main forum page, I've added selected features to a side bar and a chat box at the bottom of the page.

Thanks to everyone for having patience with my experimentation.

Ehm, I have to say that I'm feeling a little uncomfortable about seeing that there is a chat box now. Not that I wouldn't understand that probably many members will find it useful but I have a bit of an aversion to chatting. Hmmm, I'm a little undecided but (at least for the moment) I shall henceforth be known as "brontodocus the hidden"...

The new side bar is a nice quick reference, so long as it stays on the home page, otherwise it could be distracting.   It's going to take me some time to figure out all it's features.

There are many more features on the portal page. There's more I could add if I wanted but I'm trying not to get too carried away 

I was actually thinking of adding the side bar to every page of the forum, but it would squeeze the images in signatures and posts, so I decided against it. So it is just on the main page.
