Interesting, although I doubt it would have spent its time jumping Hadrosaurs as in the illustration!  The 'Large Packs of Dromaeosaurids Taking Out Hadrosaurs' meme kind of irks me. As to S. sullivani, if it did indeed have an advanced sense of smell, I wonder if that made it a sort of Cretaceous dog?

If it had a good sense of smell maybe it sought smaller prey?

Due to its size, maybe it was either a scavenger, like a vulture, or an omnivore that used its nose to find many different types of things to eat like a bear does.
