Maybe some of you may find it interesting, I certainly did, that palaeozoic sea creatures can appear in totally places.
In the movie "Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea" a whole devonian sea is formed and some animals are even mentioned by name e.g. Bothriolepis and Dipnorhynchus.
In another short movie titled "5 centimeters per second" Cambrian Hallucigenia and Opabinia are mentioned in one scene.
Never saw them coming :)
Inevitably, underlying instabilities begin to appear.

Well, Anomalocaris is pretty popular it seems. Various Monsters based on it in Anime and Toku.

In Kyoryuger there are also these guys, the Cambrima:

- Trilobites on head
- Anomalocaris on shoulders
- Opabinia on arms
- Pterygotus on torso
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no
