Hello all.  I am very new to the dinosaur collecting hobby.  I spent a couple of hours last night shopping on the internet and I've noticed that for the same figure there is a very wide price range.  Am I somehow sacrificing quality by buying the cheapest possible option?  Thank you.

CityRaptor

Normally not. Atleast not if all figures are in the same condition. Some people tend to overprice things.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

You'll find a lot of pricing variations out there. Keep an eye on shipping costs as wel and factor those into your purchase price. ;)

Ikessauro

That's very usual, specially on eBay. I noticed your user name and Papo dinos on eBay usually go for a lot more than most stores charge. Keep an eye for the best prices, you'll be able to find reliable sellers with great prices and shipping.

CityRaptor

Yep, Ebay prices can be very crazy at times. Once saw some used stuff being sold for more than it would cost new. And yes, that was still easily availbale in new condition and sold in stores.

Don't forget to check the classified threads in the Forum, fellow collectors are likely to have decent models in good condition and you can sometimes trade too.
