Tiny partial skeleton of what may be one of the smallest non-avian theropods!

Andrea Cau weighs in, tentatively agreeing on the identity and adult nature of the specimen:

Well kids, this is what happens when you only go to the gym on leg day.

Is it the smallest theropod or overall dinosaur?

3 new dinosaurs named in 1 day?! This is like the best day ever! You've got Moabosaurus, Chenanisaurus, and Zhongjianosaurus! What's next? A new specimen of Spinosaurus(which would officially make this the best day ever)?

Neither, just smallest dromaeosaur. Epidexipteryx, Anchiornis, and several species of alvarezsaurs are smaller.

I think all the papers I've read from the last few years that refer to the group use "Microraptorinae" rather than "Microraptoria", which is interesting.

Chenanisaurus was named last month: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0195667116303706
