Nostalgic Tyrannosaurus Rex yard statue

A homeowner in the wealthy part of Hartford, Connecticut has placed a nostalgic looking, twenty-foot tall Tyrannosaurus Rex statue in his front yard. This person has placed many statues in his yard, most would be considered fine art and cost a fortune. How he decided a T-rex would fit in the mix is quite odd, but it got me to stop and take pictures! I now look forward to driving home at night and seeing this retro giant!

Anyway, I did a little online research on the statue and it appears to be a 60's rendition of T-rex featured on a 1964-65 Sinclair New York Worlds Fair poster. There is also a picture (close-up head shot) on the web of an identical statue from one of the famous Route 66 rest stops.

This guy is made in Asia, like a lot of dinosaur statues you see that are commonly available, some are far from accurate, this one at least has merit in it's at least a reconstruction of a retro piece.  You can have him for around 13,000.00  https://butlersandsigns.com/life-size-giant-t-rex-statue-22-long-dinosaur/

or just the head for 600 : https://www.designtoscano.com/product/grand-scale+tyrannosaurus+rex+dinosaur+wall+trophy+-+ne100015.do?sortby=ourPicks&refType=&from=Search

I'm not sure this one is an original cast or a newer one but you can see the difference :

Lanthanotus

Saw the same model quite weathered a year ago in Winton, Queensland. Thought it was "home made", but that seems unlikely now :D

They seem to hold up ok, Phil Hore has a lot of them at the dino museum.  I have a patron that donates us one here and there.  Our Minmi and Hypsilophodon get a few paint chips and a little fading.

Thanks for the replies and website link! I really enjoyed the photos! $13,000.00 is a little out of my budget ;), I may be able to afford an Archaeopteryx, ,if I could find one!!
