I just found this Facebook page by chance (because Cheung Chung Tat linked to it).  Its a bunch of photos from Blue Rhino Studio, a Minnesota USA company that builds life-sized prehistoric critters.  The first link is to their page, the second is a link is to what looks like a Russian arts page where various art objects are posted/discussed.  The Facebook page is followed by a few photos I downloaded from there.

It is just unbelievably beautiful restoration work!!!!!!!!!!!!  You will be STUNNED. Trust me on this!!

They do amazing work! They did the mammoth exhibit that toured around for a while!

Now that is how to do prehistoric reconstructions! It's great to see that the quality and realism extends to their terror bird and dinosaur, companies often fall down in those areas. I love that shot of the Paleoloxodon

Yep, I'm familiar with them through the Titanis statue. That picture always made me imagine what it would be like if humans lived with them and trained them for a sort of terrestrial falconry. That would be quite the sight to behold.

'been a long time fan (I kinda expected there'd be an old post about them that I just missed) and I really love the pterosaurs they did for the Hall of Natural History in Kuwait.

I have seen that one of  the Smilodon in person, it's at the Fernbank museum in Atlanta. You better believe it's bug. Phenomenal work they do.

These two images I managed to extract from the website, did look most striking to me (in very good ways)


This painting is almost like a photo, must be some sort of oil based paint, amazing though.
It gave me the good ole Douglas Henderson feel in some places.

That terror bird is striking. I'm not sure what it is if it's the plausible colors, the real feathers or the dynamic pose but it's my favorite of the bunch. Not by too far because they're all amazingly lifelike. I especially appreciate the animals that are more in a passive pose, it seems more natural than the usual snarly face.
