Big Lion, eh? Kinda looks like some really big, bulked up mongoose. Or generic carnivoran.

That was surely a very impressive creature. It would have been  very scary to come face to face with one of those, as with anything bear-sized.

Yep. Of course smaller animals may be just as bad. Which is why I would be careful around Thylacoleo, despite that thing having a really goofy looking face.
