A new study has described the distal left metacarpal of an ornithocheirid pterosaur from the Early Cretaceous Wessex Formation on the Isle of Wight, England. The new study suggests that this pterosaur would have had a wingspan of 5.6 m, meaning that it would have been in a giant in the Barremian age. It is believed that this new pterosaur would have been related to the group of ornithocheirids that contains Ornithocheirus, Cloborhynchus, Caulkicephalus, and Anhanguera.
