A new study by researchers from the University of Toronto has described a new skull piece of a Denisovan from the Denisova Cave, representing the fifth individual known from the area. The study describes two skull fragments that connect together to form the left-hand side of the parietal bone, which measure together about 8 cm by 5 cm. Although DNA analysis has proved that this skull piece belongs to a Denisovan, it is too old to be radiocarbon dated. Here is a link to the paper describing this study.
